You are the only person on this earth who can use your abilities.

COMPASSION Knows No Bounds.

Life is about who you love. --Anna Yu, age 12

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.  --AESOP ("The Lion & The Mouse")

Who looks outside DREAMS, who looks inside, AWAKENS.  --Carl Jung

DANCE as though no one is watching you, LOVE as though you have never been hurt before, SING as though no one can hear you, LIVE as though heaven is on earth.

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born. -- ANAIS NIN

Kindness is the one gift that all can afford and all can repay.

6th Grade Technology:  We use the computers for research, word processing, creating graphs, tables and more.

Continue practicing math facts:  multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.  Thank you.  If your child does not know his/her facts rapidly, it will stand in the way of understanding intermediate and middle school math.  Your pre-teen will be too focused on figuring out basic facts and end up losing instructions on how to use important algorithms that are used daily in intermediate and middle school.  They will fall behind and become very frustrated with math.  Learning simple facts is SO IMPORTANT.  Thank you.

Spice things up -- practice addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts using dice or cards.

Do multiple digit multiplication and long division with your pre-teen.

Practice adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing fractions.

Help your pre-teen understand that mastering decimals, fractions and percentages is really necessary in the "real world," particularly if they like shopping in stores or on-line.
