Classroom Dollars
In Room 201, you have the opportunity to earn money.  Money can be earned for:
  • Good behavior
  • Doing your classroom job without reminders
  • Following the class rules
  • Turning in all of your homework on time with all sections completed showing quality
  • work
  • Bring all supplies to school on-time with everything signed
  • Doing a super job on an assignment
  • Giving 110% effort in class
  • Pods working together collaboratively
  • Pods following directions
  • Pod following classroom rules
  • Whole class following rules, following directions
  • Whole class completing in-class assignments on time
  • Whole class turning in homework on time with all sections completed
  •  
  • OTHER WAYS TO EARN MONEY
    You can also earn dollars by receiving compliments from people during the school day at Martha Lake:
    ASSISTANTS/OFFICE STAFF
    TEACHER
    VISITOR
    PRINCIPAL
    1 week without anyone getting a recess line reminder, white slip, Incident Report or Suspension

     
Dollars are good for:
  • Auctions Items:  Auctions held once a month

Losing Money
You can lose money as quickly as you can earn them.  Mostly, you can lose money by goofing off (by yourself, with your project partners, or with your pod mates, not following the rules, or not doing your job. 

Also, forgetting your binder, forgetting to have newsletters signed or placed in your binder, forgetting to have your daily agenda book signed, or forgetting anything that needs to be in school to help us learn.

Remember, you want to have as much money as possible.  Students who are "in debt" during a fieldtrip or special activity will be asked to not participate in that activity (including the auction).
